Australians understanding money

Cover of the report What do Australians think about money?

As part of its efforts to raise community awareness of financial literacy and its benefits, the Foundation commissioned a survey of 7,500 Australians aged 12 to 75 to build a better understanding of how we think about and manage our money.

The Financial literacy - Australians understanding money report discusses the findings of the survey of Australians' self-assessed ability, understanding, attitudes and behaviour when it comes to using and managing money. It represents a unique contribution to the body of international financial literacy research, as well as research into financial literacy in Australia, complementing other Australian surveys that aim to provide an objective measure of competency in financial matters.
