Chief Executive Officer, The Smith Family

Elaine Henry has been Chief Executive Officer of The Smith Family since 1997. Prior to this appointment she was Executive Director of the NSW Cancer Council for 12 years. She was a non-executive Director of AXA Trustees from 1998 to 2001.
Ms Henry has served on a wealth of committees at the state, national and international levels. She chairs the Australian Government's Stronger Families and Communities Partnership and Nonprofit Australia, and is a member of the Prime Minister's Community Business Partnership and the Australian Statistics Advisory Council.
Ms Henry is on the board of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth, is a member of the Alcoa Research Centre for Stronger Communities Board at Curtin University of Technology, is a member of the Vice Chancellor's Advisory Board at the University of Wollongong, and is a Trustee of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
In February 2000, Ms Henry was selected as one of 50 Australian women to be profiled in the 2000 Businesswomen's Hall of Fame, and in August 2001 and August 2004 was named one of the Australian Financial Review BOSS True Leaders.
Ms Henry was a member of the Consumer and Financial Literacy Taskforce.
