From September 2009 anyone can access the Financial Literacy Resources Australia database. (Previously, this database was only accessible to educators with a password.)
Financial Literacy Resources Australia is a database that lists financial literacy programs and resources.
- A program typically covers a number of financial topics and progresses from basic concepts to more complex ideas, such as investing and superannuation. Programs are usually focussed on a particular target audience and often deliver a number of financial literacy resources.
- A resource is a stand-alone product or service such as a fact sheet, seminar or website.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) does not endorse the programs or resources listed in the database, or any product or service, product or service information, advertising or promotional material provided in association with a program or resource. The accuracy and currency of the materials listed on this database are entirely dependent on the contributions from stakeholders. ASIC does not assess or vet the materials listed on this database.
There are some education materials listed in the database that have been assessed as meeting the Essential Elements Guidelines PDF(111KB). These materials have been separately identified. See also education materials.
